...Tomorrow

"Every day the sun won’t shine, but that’s why I love tomorrow" GloRilla

Spring is here!! Which means the sun will be out! & there will be long days and shorter nights. This also means we will be provided some good ol’ Vitamin D. Lol. ☀️🌇 For the past few weeks and most of the winter, I’ve been an emotional wreck! I was worrying about the small things and focused on too many things above my control.. & while going through all those emotions being a perfectionist didn't help either. What I learned was when you place so much worry on the unknown you miss everything happening in front of you. Life isn’t a fairy tale walk in the park. There will be highs and lows and you have to take them as they come. Everything you already have gone through or will go through is to teaching movement. I mentioned that spring is here because I also believe that the weather plays a major role in our feelings. Especially if you’re a melanin girl like myself. Personally, when it’s sunny and warm, I feel my best! When it’s dark and gloomy I’m depressed an emotional wreck!

I also learned that having a routine schedule works best for me. If I am not following a schedule I am unbalanced and all over the place. If you are into astrology, then this is me hinting I am a Libra whose symbolism is a scale, which I interpreted it means “finding balance” ⚖️. One thing I started doing in 2019/2020 was a yearly calendar/planner thanks to my gf Chantell. I always joke about how I plotted on her as a friend because I did Lol (I’ll give details in another blog about how to pick your friends). Following a planner allows me to write down everything I have going on such as work. the gym. tracking finances. eating habits. school, etc. I enjoy writing things down and seeing them on paper because if I don't then, I’ll forget. I’m a person that has 5,000 tabs open at once. Crazy! I also believe that writing things down releases all my thoughts so if I can see them on paper it seems more important and realistic to get to. It sounds weird but that's just how my brain works.

As of right now, my go-to places to pick out planners are Tj Maxx and Homegoods. The most I ever spent was $12.99 and that includes a year and 6 months planner, stickers, a vision board section, and other creative ways to track your months. They have some really good ones! Grantee, you'll find one you love. Three out of four in that image are from the stores I mentioned, and the other is from Book'd on ig too which I love, unfortunately, I always miss the restock! ☹️

I also wanted to share, that after my emotional wreck was over I realized that I was missing a lot by not living in the moment. I put too much energy into "tomorrow", and not enough at the moment I am in and enjoying it for what it is worth. It's been about two weeks since I have been following my schedule, working out daily, and eating healthier again and I am almost feeling back to myself.
